I run the Shopify half of your business so you can run the rest of it.

Shopify virtual assistant and store specialist for founders and small ecommerce teams. Two years inside Shopify's technical merchant support. Theme work, product data, daily orders, page speed and search, handled by one person who can read the code.

No pitch deck. You show me the store, I tell you what I'd fix and what it costs. You keep the list either way.

Do I understand your problem?

I answered these tickets for two years

Themes, apps, payments, checkout, DNS, gateway failures. I've almost certainly seen your exact issue before, from the inside.

Can I prove I solved one?

Three case studies, written properly

Each one states the problem, the approach and the outcome. No adjectives standing in for work.

How do you reach me?

One email, one call, one day

jshmdevera@gmail.com or +63 976 148 2996. A free 30-minute consult, and a written audit whether or not you hire me.

Case studies

Three pieces of work, start to finish.

Curated rather than exhaustive. Each one follows the same shape so you can compare them: what was broken, what I did, what came out of it.

Taste Culinary FoodCafé-ingredient distributor · Philippines

1Problem

A physical shop with no way to sell online

A distributor carrying imported brand lines was running entirely brick-and-mortar. High overhead, reach limited to walk-ins, and no catalog structure to build anything on.

2Approach

Built the storefront from an empty admin

  • Full Horizon build, custom Liquid across product, collection and landing pages
  • Brand cluster pages for Catcher Gourmet, Toschi and Cafetto
  • Metafields structuring brand, format, origin and use case
  • Payment gateways, tax and checkout configured end to end
  • Shopify Flow for subscriber notifications and operational alerts
3Outcome

A storefront the owner can actually run

Selling online with a catalog structured to grow, bulk updates through Matrixify, and alerts running without anyone watching the admin.

Adahlia BoutiqueModern-luxury womenswear · United Kingdom
● Ongoing · theme & audit
1Problem

A design system drifting section by section

A growing catalogue and a storefront where every new section risked breaking the brand's typography and colour rules. Deploys went straight to live with no staging step.

2Approach

One system, one pipeline, rolling audits

  • Ongoing theme development on a GitHub-connected deploy pipeline
  • A single documented design system held across every section
  • Rolling audits covering performance, structure and on-page SEO
  • Flagged the direct-to-live deploy risk and scoped a staging branch
3Outcome

Changes ship without the brand slipping

New sections land inside the existing system rather than beside it, and every deploy traces back to a commit.

1Problem

Supplier spreadsheets never matched the store

Stock counts and prices arrived as supplier spreadsheets in a different shape to the Shopify catalog. Reconciling them by eye was slow and produced quiet errors that surfaced as oversells.

2Approach

Built a browser tool instead of buying an app

  • Plain JavaScript and HTML, runs in the browser, nothing to install
  • Compares supplier price and SKU data against the live catalog
  • Surfaces mismatches for a human to approve rather than auto-writing
  • No monthly app fee and no third party holding the data
3Outcome

Reconciliation became a task, not a day

A repeatable check the owner runs themselves, with the risky write step kept under human approval by design.

Add hours saved per cycle, or mismatch count caught in the first run.

Process

Four steps. No mystery.

Step 01 · Free

Consult

Thirty minutes. You show me the store and the thing that's been annoying you. I say honestly whether it's worth paying someone to fix.

Step 02 · 2–3 days

Written audit

A list ordered by what will actually move revenue, with a price against each item. Yours to keep and hand to anyone.

Step 03 · Agreed

Build

Work happens on a staging copy wherever possible. Progress ships as it lands, not a silent month then a surprise.

Step 04 · Your call

Hand over or stay on

Documented and handed back, or I stay on monthly and keep running it. No lock-in either way.

About

Two years on the inside, spent learning where stores break.

From April 2024 to April 2026 I worked inside Shopify as technical merchant support, front line for merchants worldwide. Themes, apps, payments, checkout, DNS, domains, gateway failures. When something broke, it landed in my queue.

That job taught me where stores actually break, and it's almost never where the owner thinks it is. Now I do the fixing directly, freelance, for founders and small teams who need someone who can read Liquid and answer a customer email in the same afternoon.

Before Shopify: two years of high-volume data processing and a year coordinating patient care, which is where the catalog discipline comes from. Information Technology at Gordon College, Olongapo City, where I still work from.
